Welcome to the Northeast Indiana Chapter of the American Payroll Association's website. The Payroll Professionals that are associated with our chapter have created this site to provide all payroll professionals and their colleagues with information pertinent to the Payroll Profession.
The Northeast Indiana Chapter is open to anyone involved in payroll, whether through human resources, compensation, benefits, payroll accounting, payroll management or payroll processing. We invite you to join us and learn more about our dynamic group of payroll professionals! We are here to encourage, assist and network with you! We understand the issues you face and we want to help make your job easier.
The members of the Northeast Indiana Chapter are dedicated to providing public service education to the national workforce on payroll taxation and employment related issues. We strive to obtain recognition for payroll, as practiced in today's business and legislative environments, as a professional discipline.
We are a non-profit organization which promotes the advancement of payroll as a profession. The chapter achieves this by providing networking opportunities and by offering discussions and educational presentations from local, regional and national representatives. Members sustain a high level of competence in relation to the laws and regulations associated with payroll processing and reporting. Continuing education is encouraged. We also provide an annual study group (free) and pre-testing for Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Fundamentals of Payroll (FPC) certification exams. We provide our members with outstanding networking opportunities, shared information and professional development resources. All of our speakers are pre-approved by National APA and fulfill the requirements which allow us to award our CPP's and FPC's with one RCH for attendance at each of our meetings.
We work with the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Payroll Association to present the Annual Indiana Statewide Payroll Conference. Our chapter also provides a scholarship to one of our chapter members who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference. We are all about educating Payroll Professionals.
We meet 8 months out of the year. At each meeting we network with each other during a luncheon, we then have a qualified speaker who provides training on various payroll related topics. We follow up with a short business meeting. See our meeting tab for the date, time and place of our next meeting. We hope you will join us soon.
